Humming Bird Archtop – HB1
A true hybrid guitar in every way. This design was inspired by the Languedoc G2 but is also heavily influenced by the Les Paul, ES 335, Stratocaster, and traditional archtop jazz guitars. The top and back are solid wood, (No laminations here) and have a deeply carved arch and re-curve and fixed height bridge allowing the instrument to be fully functional as an acoustic guitar. The V-braced top allows the pickups to fit comfortably into the body with minimal impact on the natural acoustics. The neck is glued in at a low angle, similar to an electric guitar, and features a hidden sliding dovetail and asymmetrical C shaped profile. The standard pickups are 4 wire humbuckers that have a 3 way mini switch (coil drop / parallel / series) and 3 way pickup toggle offering 12 unique pickup settings. The inlays and cosmetic features can be modified or eliminated depending on player preferences.
